Desort is seeking a highly skilled Veterinarian Criticalist to join our team as a Medical Director. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical care to critically ill animals and leading our critical care department.
Responsibilities:
- Medical Leadership: Provide medical direction and oversight to our critical care team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and exceptional patient outcomes.
- Critical Care Medicine: Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill animals, including monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the veterinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Client Education: Educate clients about their pet's condition and treatment, providing clear and concise information to ensure informed decision-making.
- Department Management: Oversee the daily operations of our critical care department, including staff supervision, inventory management, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- DVM degree from an accredited veterinary program
- Experience in critical care medicine, with a strong background in veterinary critical care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other healthcare professionals
