Job Summary

As a Product Marketing Manager at Google, you will be responsible for shaping the product strategy, positioning, and messaging for Google Maps Platform. You will partner with product, UX, and Developer Relations teams to develop industry-leading moments to share point of view and identify, develop, or manage the creation of various content types to fuel sales and product-led growth.

Responsibilities
  • Learn developer and technical decision-makers and translate learnings and insights into messaging.
  • Own messaging, craft, and build out product narrative over time, promote through launches, and sustain with landings.
  • Partner with product, marketing, partnerships, and engineering to develop industry-leading moments to share point of view.
  • Identify, develop, or manage the creation of various content types (e.g., written, videos, presentations, etc.) as needed to fuel sales and product-led growth.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e., growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across business-to-business marketing products.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Preferred qualifications: MBA or MS in computer science or engineering.
  • Experience with developer platforms and ecosystems.
  • Ability to drive product launches and campaigns.
  • Ability to manage technical concepts related to AI and geo-spatial.
  • Ability to discuss technical details and translate them into compelling marketing messages.

About the Job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization, and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering, and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
