Job Summary:
As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - CT Technologist PRN Variable at Baylor Scott & White Health, you will perform computed tomography (CT) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality CT procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of radiation dose reference levels, radiation dose monitoring, actions to be taken if the estimated dose exceeds set dose reference levels, and actions to be taken for cases when the reference level was exceeded which may include patient follow-up.
  • Demonstrate and understand proper use of iSTAT point-of-care testing for obtaining creatinine levels.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and others.

Requirements:
  • ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Ability to perform tasks independently without need for routine oversight.
  • Able to explain the procedure and put patients at ease.
  • Able to provide services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
