Childcare Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Childcare Specialist to join our team at Lenawee Intermediate School District, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, consistent with program standards and child care licensing regulations.

• Design and implement a proper environment for growth and learning
• Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Ensure compliance with program standards and child care licensing regulations
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
• Excellent interpersonal skills with adults and children
• Preferred qualifications include experience working as a team member, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or Child Development Associate Credential

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a variable schedule of approximately 180-230 days per year. The successful candidate will be based on the Lenawee Preschool Academy schedule.
