About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Scientist to join our R&D team at Balchem. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new product formulations and processes that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Formulation and Development: Design and develop new product formulations and processes that meet customer requirements and company standards.
  • Process Optimization: Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Experimentation and Data Analysis: Design and conduct experiments to test new product formulations and processes, and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all product formulations and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of industrial experience in process or product development and commercialization in the food, feed, nutraceutical, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, influencing, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to apply scientific principles to new situations and provide innovative solutions.
