The Nurse Extern is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and support under the supervision of our experienced nurses. As a Nurse Extern, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist nursing staff in carrying out the nursing plan of care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and attention.
- Collect and report vital signs, I/Os, and other patient data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and ambulation.
- Monitor patients for signs of skin breakdown and communicate with nursing staff as needed.
- Perform glucose checks, wound care, and other clinical tasks as assigned.
- Document patient information and vital signs using our electronic charting system.
- Assist with clerical duties, such as taking orders and answering call lights.
- Completed fundamentals in nursing
- Current CPR certification
