About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer Energy to join our team in Richland, WA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of engineering calculations, generating drawings and specifications, and providing technical expertise to develop and implement engineering analysis and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering calculations using traditional methods to document compliance with project and code requirements.
  • Generate and review drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
  • Assist in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications.
  • Provide technical expertise to develop and implement engineering analysis and programs.
  • Ensure relevant design criteria, specifications, and codes are used in preparation of design media.
  • Interface with staff and sub-contractors to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensure integration of design across multiple disciplines.
  • Perform checking to ensure accuracy of design media.
  • Work to assigned schedules and initiate corrective measures to overcome delays.
  • Understand and comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of industry codes and regulations.
  • Testing prototypical system experience desired.
  • Nuclear power experience desired.
  • Vitrification and/or glass making experience desired.
  • Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
