Veteran Care Chiropractor

This announcement serves as an ongoing recruitment effort for current, permanent staff within the Veterans Health Administration interested in Chiropractor positions.
Applicants will be assessed and referred as openings arise. To maintain an updated candidate pool, applications will expire every 90 days. Candidates are encouraged to refresh their applications every 90 days to remain eligible for internal transfers.

Key Responsibilities
The Chiropractor is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
Primary Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities may differ based on the role.
Work Schedule: May vary according to location and availability (standard hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
Bargaining Unit Status: This role is part of the bargaining unit.
Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
Locations: Positions may be available in various locations within the Veterans Health Administration.

Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Open to U.S. Citizens, although non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited.
- All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Probationary period may be required.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is mandatory for all Veterans Health Administration personnel.
- Participation in the COVID-19 vaccination program is required for all Veterans Health Administration personnel.
Applicants pending completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are fulfilled.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- United States Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Education: Degree of Doctor of Chiropractic or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Licensure or Registration: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice chiropractic in a U.S. state or territory.
- Physical Requirements: See outlined below.
- English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- a. Associate Grade: None beyond the basic requirements.
- b. Full Grade: Two years of full-time chiropractic practice or equivalent.
- c. Intermediate Grade: A total of 4 years of chiropractic practice or equivalent.
- d. Senior Grade: Restricted to selected leadership positions.
- At least two years of experience related to the position.
