We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostics and repairs of complex mechanical and electronic problems.
- Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs.
- Utilize diagnostic computers and software to identify and resolve issues.
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions.
- Coach and mentor other technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Perform facility maintenance duties and ensure the shop is clean and organized.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
- Basic tools required.
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
- Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
- All other certifications as required by location.
