Job Title: CDL Class A Delivery Driver

At Performance Foodservice, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Job Summary:

As a CDL Class A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicating and interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Performing pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards.
  • Following all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 12 months of commercial driving experience.
  • A valid CDL A license.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass a road test.
  • A valid current DOT Health Card and/or be able to secure a new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience.
  • Foodservice distribution industry experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e. PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e. POD).
  • Customer service related work experience.
