Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the modeling and simulation initiatives to evaluate the size, weight, performance, and cost of DC/DC and DC/AC power electronic converters.
  • Develop and uphold comprehensive documentation for our simulation methodologies.
  • Create and sustain models in Matlab / Simulink to facilitate trade studies and assess key performance indicators.
  • Provide estimates for cost and duration related to simulation tasks.
  • Conduct analyses of computing infrastructure, including budget requirements, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Summarize findings and communicate results effectively to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising electrical, mechanical, and project management professionals.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering with over 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with at least 6 years of experience in related fields.
  • Proficient in tools and modeling techniques for power electronic modules/components, focusing on size, weight, performance, and cost.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining models using Matlab / Simulink.
  • Capability to estimate the duration of model development and prioritize multiple model projects.
  • Ability to present modeling results through visual comparisons to support the selection of topologies and components.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in power electronics design.
  • Familiarity with topologies used in DC/DC and DC/AC converters.
  • Background in developing modeling systems to enhance computational efficiency.
