Position Overview:
The Automotive Service Lot Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction by managing the movement of vehicles within the service area, maintaining the cleanliness of both vehicles and the service lot, and facilitating the delivery of vehicles to customers post-service. Additionally, this position may involve transporting customers to and from their residences as required.
Ideal Candidate:
The perfect candidate will possess a high energy level and a passion for working in a dynamic environment. A valid California driver's license with a clean driving record is essential. Strong communication and customer service skills, along with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, are vital. Candidates should be adept at driving both manual and automatic vehicles and maneuvering them safely in confined spaces. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Transport vehicles to and from service areas as required.
- Install protective coverings (such as seat covers and floor mats) in all vehicles brought in for service.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including fueling vehicles and checking oil and water levels.
- Wash and detail vehicles as necessary.
- Maintain the appearance of the service lot by cleaning driveways and sidewalks, and removing debris.
- Ensure cleanliness within the shop, including windows, doors, and floors.
- Facilitate dealer trades as needed.
- Provide transportation for customers to and from their homes when requested.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed in accordance with regulations and standards.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience is necessary; we are willing to provide training.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- An unrestricted California driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Capable of safely maneuvering vehicles in tight spaces.
- Highly professional, reliable, and dependable.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and internet proficiency.
- Previous experience in a similar position is a plus.
- Must be oriented towards customer service.
- A strong team player with a commitment to both customers and colleagues.
- Self-motivated with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Committed to fostering teamwork across all departments.
- Friendly demeanor with high energy and a willingness to exceed expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
