Position Overview

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of project management experience with a proven track record of delivering results across diverse high-value IT and business initiatives, including at least five (5) years in a hands-on project management role within an IT context.
  • Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in engaging with senior executive stakeholders, overseeing project planning, organization, and execution, while managing a cross-functional project team.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to facilitate collaboration among senior executives and various cross-functional stakeholder groups with differing objectives.
  • Ability to analyze project requirements, provide insights on scope, solution options, and project plans, while evaluating work against time, cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Exhibit creativity, innovation, and ethical decision-making in developing solutions that benefit stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on project management standards, methodologies, tools, and applications to make informed decisions from various alternatives.
  • Experience in capturing and sharing both technical and business information effectively.
  • Capability to conduct project reviews, assess project health, identify issues, and, if necessary, successfully turn around troubled projects.
  • Proven experience in managing vendors and subcontractors throughout the RFP process, including evaluation, selection, contracting, and execution of work plans.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects within agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Experience in handling large, complex IT and business-related projects, as well as portfolio management.
  • Ability to navigate an organization's political landscape, effectively communicating and collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders with diverse and competing objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage complex and competing client expectations.
  • Advanced understanding of the IT project lifecycle and various project methodologies, with the ability to select the most suitable approach for each project.
  • Comfortable managing varying levels of ambiguity and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement through data collection and analysis.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and serving as a resource for colleagues.
