Position Overview:
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a prominent professional services consulting firm, is currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of an entry-level water/wastewater engineer. This position is integral to our ongoing projects and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to essential engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be involved in various engineering functions, including:

  • Conducting engineering studies and compiling comprehensive reports.
  • Preparing detailed design documents and construction plans.
  • Performing design calculations and developing quantity and cost estimates.
  • Acting as a project representative throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for project requirements.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

Preferred Skills:
Experience or familiarity with the following areas will be advantageous:

  • Water supply and treatment systems.
  • Wastewater collection and treatment processes.
  • Pumping, heat transfer, and various unit operations.
  • Biosolids treatment and management.
  • Stormwater management practices.

Additionally, proficiency in hydraulic, heat transfer, or treatment software is desirable. Candidates should either possess or be capable of obtaining EIT certification, followed by professional engineer registration.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, exhibit self-motivation, and possess the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
