We are a nationally recognized architectural firm headquartered in the southwestern United States. Over the past five decades, we have designed over 150 fire stations, public safety facilities, educational buildings, airports, libraries, administrative offices, police projects, and courts. Our practice also encompasses private sector projects, ranging from single-family residences to large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments.
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect/Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all phases of project development, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including the full development of construction drawings and coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil engineering, and other consultants.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and consultants.
- Coordinate and manage the creation of construction documents, including architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Review and approve architectural documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and building codes.
- Develop and maintain technical documents, including specifications and technical guides.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design and construction meetings with clients and contractors.
- Interface with building permitting officials to ensure compliance with local regulations.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Architectural license preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in Revit and experience with the creation and coordination of architectural and construction documents.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience with construction submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's.
- LEED and/or Green Globes certification preferred.
