Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Technician to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Cardiac Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized procedures according to established departmental protocols.
  • Operate all types of Ultrasound equipment and perform portable exams in various areas throughout the hospital.
  • Record images and make hard copies (CD's) where applicable.
  • Use Epic to schedule and complete exams as applicable.
  • Serve as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide proper patient care, including interviewing patients, explaining procedures, and positioning patients for exams.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and statistics.
  • Label sonograms properly to assist in diagnosis and ensure correct identification.
Requirements
  • Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.
  • Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, under the ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties.
Working Conditions

This position requires work indoors in a normal patient care environment. The work is considered moderate, and the position requires regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
