  • Propose enhancements to production methods, equipment performance, or product quality.
  • Recommend adjustments in working conditions and equipment usage to boost departmental efficiency.
  • Lead lean initiatives and 5S practices to enhance productivity and safety.
  • Identify and resolve work-related issues or assist team members in problem-solving.
  • Initiate or suggest motivational strategies to help workers achieve their targets.
  • Train new employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, and quality standards.
  • Compile various reports as needed.
  • Maintain quality standards and notify the quality department when discrepancies arise.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Support the supervision of hourly associates within the immediate work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma (GED) is required; an associate's degree in business management is preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • At least one to three years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Specific Skills:

  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to company values.
  • Ability to read blueprints and apply intermediate math skills (percentages, conversions, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching abilities.
  • Proven capability to lead and develop team members.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excel skills are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving of up to 80 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme heat and vibration.
  • Moderate to high noise levels are expected.
