Purpose of the Function

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a critical role in representing the company's values as a science-driven, patient-centric organization. This field-based expert is responsible for engaging with medical stakeholders at Clinical Trial Centers (Kidney Transplant Studies) across the region.

The MSL will work closely with the Kidney Transplant Clinical Trial Teams to understand the management of diseases of interest, map the patient journey, identify unmet medical needs, data gaps, and areas of collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Expert medical resource and ambassador: Maintain the highest scientific and medical expertise of all relevant diseases and products.
  • Focus on Clinical Trials: Conducting in the Transplant TA (DGF and AMR with empA and efgar respectively).
  • Identify and develop productive relationships and collaborations with stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of the kidney transplant site engagement plan.
  • Help shape the position of the company in the region.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of and implement current local pharmaceutical regulation.
  • Ensure implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality scientific/medical education in various settings.
  • Obtain feedback and disseminate it throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate the timely and appropriate response to internal and external Medical Information inquiries.
  • Attend local, national, and international meetings and congresses.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Ensure a close working relationship with all company functions.

Education, Experience
  • Scientific, healthcare, or medical degree (MS, PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, PA).
  • Significant field-based experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in medical affairs.
  • Clinical experience in Medicine (Kidney or other solid organ) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals.
