Job Title: Family Health Technician

Beltrami County, MN is seeking a highly skilled Family Health Technician to join our team. As a Family Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support services to our clients, including determining eligibility for public health programs, interpreting related policy and procedure, and performing various public health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine eligibility for public health programs, including WIC, by collecting and verifying client income, ID, and residence.
  • Remain knowledgeable about associated rules and regulations and complete pre-visit health screens.
  • Prepare paperwork for hair follicle testing for drug and alcohol screening and forward results.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding client chemical dependency assessments and assess need for client crisis intervention.
  • Prescreen clients for immunizations, review immunization records, determine vaccination schedules, and verify eligibility and pay source.
  • Schedule child and adolescent physicals, create and maintain charts, determine billing source, and verify immunizations.
  • Teach child passenger safety classes to daycare and foster care providers and adoptive parents.
  • Collect and deposit fees for services provided and determine billing sources.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of clerical/customer service work experience.
  • Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Child Passenger Safety Instructor certification.
  • Ongoing job-specific training.
