PCG INTERNATIONAL INC is a prominent consulting firm dedicated to enhancing public sector operations, particularly in health, education, and human services. We are currently in search of a proficient EpicCare Willow Specialist to enhance our pharmacy management capabilities.
Role SummaryThe EpicCare Willow application is a critical component of the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, tailored for comprehensive pharmacy management. This role encompasses the entire medication management lifecycle, from ordering to administration.
Key Responsibilities- Configure the EpicCare Willow system to align with the unique requirements of the pharmacy department, including the establishment of medication formularies and dispensing workflows.
- Provide training and support to pharmacy personnel, addressing inquiries and resolving system-related issues.
- Maintain system performance through regular updates and collaboration with IT for optimal database management and security enhancements.
- Analyze pharmacy workflows to identify improvement opportunities, recommending process enhancements to boost efficiency and patient safety.
- Implement medication safety protocols and conduct audits to mitigate risks associated with medication management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the seamless integration of pharmacy systems with other Epic modules.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Analyst with Epic.
- Proficiency in self-directed learning.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Current Willow Inpatient Certification and relevant Epic application certifications.
- Desirable experience in Willow medication charge build and reporting.
- Testing experience and a clinical background are advantageous.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with comprehensive knowledge of clinical theory and practice.
