Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the West Chester Primary Care office. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs routine nursing care of the ill, injured, or infirm under the direction of a licensed professional (RN) nurse, nurse practitioner, and/or a physician. The LPN participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the State Board of Nursing and health system standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide and document direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Assist other healthcare personnel in the delivery of patient care.
  • Participate in maintaining the environment of care, including equipment and other material resources.
  • Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies and attending educational offerings.
  • Support the development of other staff and formal learners.
  • Participate in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and assists in performance improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • At least two (2) years experience in the medical field.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Computer competency, including basic use of a computer, Microsoft Office, and patient-facing technology.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
