Key Responsibilities:

As a Histopathology Technician at Avantor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Translational Pathology Group. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Tissue sectioning (microtomy)
  • Macro dissection of tissues on slides to isolate regions of interest
  • Performing basic Histology Stains (Hematoxylin, Eosin, Vimentin, etc.)
  • Slide scanning to generate digital images for image analysis
  • Responsible for day-to-day upkeep of various histology equipment
  • Management of laboratory consumables
  • Executing routine Immunohistochemical (IHC) staining

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a scientific field
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge and experience in histopathology, especially tissue sections (microtomy), and digital slide scanning
  • Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Excel and Teams
  • Experience working with sample management LIMS software a plus
