Job Title: Mid Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing tactical communication systems in support of the Department of Defense (DoD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure the development of high-quality systems.
  • Develop equipment and network configurations, and identify and propose solutions to technology gaps.
  • Coordinate technology insertion efforts and support technology insertion testing efforts.
  • Have knowledge of tactical and strategic military communications networks, architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Army leadership, programs, working groups, non-technical audiences, logistics personnel, and peers to ensure interoperability with the Increment 1 Program of Record baseline.
  • Support technical tasks in the integration of Data, Voice, Video, and Telephony in the WIN-T INC1 Networks, including engineering and technical documentation, development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software and hardware engineering, test and evaluation, and quality engineering.
  • Understand military doctrine and how tactical network capabilities can be layered on top of that doctrine.
  • Identify system architectures in support of Operational Needs Statements (ONS) that are compatible with the current tactical communication systems.
  • Hold a Secret clearance.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Information Technology, or Science, or 6+ years of experience with systems engineering in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with reviewing Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy to ensure requirements are met.
  • Experience with Visio, Broadband Premises Technician, and delivering presentations.
  • Knowledge of DODAF, Integrated Support Plan (ISP), and Support Engineering Plan (SEP).
  • Knowledge of Converged Ethernet Over IP (EOIP) network.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Master's degree.
