Job Overview

This position involves critical contributions to the design and enhancement of innovative products, solutions, and systems. Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties
  • Conduct the design, analysis, or assessment of assigned projects utilizing sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program specifications. This role encompasses mechanical and/or electrical engineering across all product lines.
  • Acquire extensive knowledge in a specific technical area. Leverage prior experience and technical expertise to implement policies and strategies effectively.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of essential business drivers; apply this knowledge to achieve personal objectives. Recognize how the work of the team integrates with other departments and contributes to overall success.
  • Employ sound judgment and demonstrate the ability to propose alternative solutions within established guidelines, with necessary support. Utilize previous experience and on-the-job training to address straightforward challenges. Access technical skills and analytical thinking necessary for problem-solving, potentially consulting multiple internal resources outside of the immediate team.
  • This role is likely to be an individual contributor with demonstrated interpersonal skills or an emerging leader capable of recruiting and nurturing talent. Provide informal mentorship to new team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance.
Desired Characteristics
  • At least 3 years of experience in the mechanical design of turbo-machinery components.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in composites engineering.
  • Proven ability in team building and project management.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Effective communication with all organizational levels and external clients.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design for PMC components and assembly methodologies.
  • Robust project management skills.
  • Ability to formulate strategies and execute plans with urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
