Job Title: Power BI Solutions Architect

The estimated salary for this position is $130,000 per year. As a Power BI Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing comprehensive business intelligence solutions using Power BI at eTek IT Services, Inc.

Overview:

eTek IT Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead our Power BI initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing complex Power BI solutions and excellent leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Design and develop comprehensive business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Architecture: Develop and maintain the overall architecture of Power BI solutions.
  • Implementation: Lead the implementation of Power BI solutions, including data modeling, DAX queries, and ETL processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug Power BI solutions to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
  • Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support for Power BI related issues and inquiries.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and functionality to leverage them for improving existing solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging Power BI for business value.
  • Documentation: Document best practices, standards, and guidelines for Power BI development and usage within the organization.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of Power BI solutions to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Data Governance: Contribute to the overall data architecture and data governance initiatives within the organization.
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor junior team members on Power BI development and best practices.
  • Tool Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate tools and technologies for data visualization and analytics.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Engineer, with expertise in developing complex Power BI solutions.
  • SQL Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Data Modeling Concepts: Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
  • DAX Queries: Proficiency in writing and optimizing DAX queries within Power BI for data analysis.
  • ETL Processes: Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes for data integration.
  • Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to guide cross-functional teams.
  • Documentation: Demonstrated ability to document technical specifications, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Data Governance Principles: Knowledge of data governance principles and practices is a plus.
  • Certifications: Certifications in Power BI or related technologies is preferred.
  • BI Tools: Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex data challenges.
