Hendrick Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to provide exceptional care to patients in their end-of-life journey. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with registered nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of care and support.

About the Role:
  • This is a full-time position working 36-40 hours per week, with rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA and be certified in CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide personal care and assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Assist patients with transfers, mobility, and positioning, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  3. Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
  4. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Nurse Aide I (CNA) in the state of Texas.
  • Current HeartSaver CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds or more, as necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
