We are looking for a dedicated and proficient attorney to become a part of our Commercial Finance practice group within the Banking and Financial Services Department. The successful candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in representing lenders in commercial finance transactions, whether at a law firm, financial institution, or finance company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for lenders in commercial finance transactions, encompassing both secured and unsecured lending from inception to documentation.
  • Provide guidance to banks, private equity firms, and other financial entities on the structuring of credit transactions.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of UCC Article 9, as well as mortgage and property law.
  • Oversee multiple transactions concurrently while adhering to client deadlines efficiently.
  • Engage in effective communication and foster robust client relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of pertinent experience in commercial finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing capabilities.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be a member in good standing or eligible for waiver into the Illinois Bar.
