About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Home Health Support Associate to join our team at Aroostook Home Health Services. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.

Job Summary

The Home Health Support Associate will be responsible for providing personalized support services to clients in their homes, focusing on assisting with daily living activities, household chores, and other tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Help with meal preparation and serving, as well as washing dishes and running errands
  • Complete basic household chores, such as dusting, vacuuming, and laundry
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Services and Executive Director to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; formal education beyond elementary level not necessary but preferred
  • Experience working with chronically ill, disabled, or elderly individuals an asset
  • Able to read, write, and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently, organize work efficiently, and maintain client confidentiality
  • Must be able to communicate and cooperate effectively
  • Enroll in a PSS course within 2 months of hire and complete within 9 months
