Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nursing Assistant to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist registered nurses with patient assessments, planning, and implementation of care.
  2. Perform various nursing care activities, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and patient transportation.
  3. Provide direct patient care, such as personal hygiene, positioning, and nutritional support.
  4. Assist with patient admission and discharge, and set up special equipment as needed.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Currently enrolled in good academic standing in an accredited pre-licensure MSN, BSN, or ADN program.
  3. Passing grade in Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing required.
  4. Current BLS card required.
Working Conditions

This role requires weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and overtime. You will be exposed to patients with infectious diseases, requiring observance of universal precautions.
