Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced primary care nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to join our team at TeamHealth in Tacoma, WA.

This part-time opportunity offers the flexibility to work weekends (1-2 days per weekend, up to 4 weekends per month) providing primary care in a skilled nursing facility setting.

As a primary care provider with TeamHealth, you will have the autonomy to set your preferred start time, manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement a plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform primary care in a skilled nursing facility setting for short-term and long-term patients
  • Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
  • Order and interpret lab results
  • Prescribe and monitor medications
  • Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers
  • Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related conditions

Requirements:

  • 6 or more months of experience in primary care
  • Post-acute care experience a plus but not required
  • Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in the state of Washington
  • Active and unrestricted DEA for the state of Washington

Our compensation is a productivity-based model (Fee for Service) that offers you control to maximize your income potential.

Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $60,000 to $72,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential. This part-time role is not benefit eligible.
