Computed Tomography Technologist

Job Summary

This position utilizes specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy, aiding radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.

The ideal candidate will follow established protocols and make adjustments to set parameters on the operating console to compensate for different patient conditions, minimizing radiation exposure while producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key responsibilities include documenting important patient history related to the procedure, preparing the exam room and tray setup for invasive procedures, and accurately starting IVs to inject contrast media via an automatic injector.

Effective communication with other staff and physician offices is crucial to ensure accuracy in order information and contribute to the efficient operation of the department.

The successful candidate will participate in accreditation and quality initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Program in a JCERT-approved school meeting the requirements of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State of Indiana Radiologic Technologists License
  • Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) Registry
  • One year of previous CT experience
  • CPR certification or must obtain at next available class upon hire
