The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Central State Hospital. As a LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our psychiatric inpatient facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct patient assessments, identify risk factors, and report concerns to registered nurses or physicians.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
