Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting raw milk from our depot to our processing plant in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies, adhering to all safety practices.
  • Follow dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel to transport raw milk.
  • Minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption.
  • Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination.
  • Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level.
  • Represent DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers or regulatory personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.
  • Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements.
