Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Industrial Hygienist to join our team at NES Inc. As a key member of our Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene department, you will be responsible for providing project oversight, developing new clients and opportunities, and performing industrial hygiene work, including worker exposure assessments, health and safety audits, and indoor air quality assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients to prepare, solicit, and market proposals for billable work
  • Initiate and create programs for clients to recognize, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards and diseases
  • Conduct evaluations of chemical, physical, and biological hazards
  • Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors, and other potentially toxic materials for analysis
  • Investigate adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions that may affect employee health, comfort, or efficiency
  • Create and present reports regarding the work environment
  • Recommend precautions and corrective actions that should be taken in response to identified hazards
  • Prepare proposals and assist in the development of operating procedures and service lines
  • Contribute to industry presentations and publications
  • Provide the Accounting Department with all necessary information to bill for projects
  • Develop and mentor staff
Requirements
  • 10 or more years of professional Industrial Hygiene experience in consulting services or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of prior supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in core science (e.g., chemistry, biology, etc.) or equivalent
  • CIH certification required
  • Advanced degrees and/or certifications (CDPH, CAC, Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor) a plus
