Position Overview

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee our financial operations.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be accountable for the financial stewardship of the organization. This role encompasses monitoring cash flow, strategic financial planning, assessing the company’s financial health, and recommending necessary adjustments. The CFO will be instrumental in formulating financial strategies, ensuring fiscal stability, and facilitating growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Leadership:
    • Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the organization’s long-term objectives.
    • Supervise the creation of financial documents, budgets, forecasts, and analytical reports.
    • Evaluate and suggest improvements to project pricing strategies, contract assessments regarding risk and liquidity, operational efficiency, and administrative expenses.
    • Provide insightful recommendations to the executive leadership regarding financial performance and future projections.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Direct the financial planning and analysis operations.
    • Guarantee timely and precise financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Manage cash flow, investment decisions, and capital structure.
    • Continuously monitor financial performance, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing necessary changes.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Recognize and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Align risk management strategies with the overall business goals.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Guide, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous development.
    • Collaborate with various departments to meet their financial requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Present financial outcomes and strategies to the board, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
    • Oversee tax strategy and compliance, collaborating with external auditors and tax professionals.
    • Maintain financial practices that comply with corporate governance standards and best practices.
Qualifications

Essential Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive financial experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and risk management, preferably in the construction or utilities industry.
  • Strong grasp of corporate finance, capital markets, and financial instruments.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High integrity and reliability, with a strong focus on results.
