Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at HealthPort, Inc. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs in a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living skills, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Support clients' healthcare needs, including medication management and follow-up care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Model positive behavior, ensuring respectful and culturally sensitive communication.
  • Document client progress, schedules, and notes in our electronic health record system.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, CARF accreditation standards, and Maryland State Regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and 2 years' experience working with mentally ill adults.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid full driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
