Position Overview:
The Oncology RN plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care within the infusion services department. This position emphasizes leadership in coordinating and providing compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring effective communication with patients and their families as well as the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a diverse range of professional nursing services.
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- IBCLC certification as a Lactation Consultant must be obtained within the first year of employment and maintained.
- Preferred experience of 1-2 years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist.
