Job Title: Certified Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Paralegal to join our team at Vitalis Consulting LLC. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our attorneys in the healthcare and legal sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on healthcare laws, regulations, and reimbursement guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and state-specific programs.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, such as appeals, claims, and administrative petitions related to healthcare reimbursement.
  • Organize and manage case files, including collecting and organizing medical records, billing statements, and other relevant documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies.
  • Assist attorneys with preparing for hearings, appeals, and arbitrations.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and managing databases.
  • Analyze complex medical and financial data to identify reimbursement errors or discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Paralegal (CP)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a healthcare or legal setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing and coding practices.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other government healthcare programs.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in legal software and technology.
