Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to support our inbound and outbound supply chain operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about logistics and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to plan and execute outbound LTL and truckload shipments.
  • Ensure timely pickup of freight and submit required documentation, such as ASN's or customs clearance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Take on special projects and implement process improvements as directed by leadership.
  • Address inquiries from the account management team regarding pending or in-transit product.
  • Support the transportation manager in maintaining relationships with 3PL providers.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Utilize in-house ERP to route freight and ensure adherence to customer routing requirements.
  • Communicate driver and carrier performance issues to the transportation manager.
  • Attend staff meetings and training programs as requested.
  • Provide backup support to other operations staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation and logistics preferred.
  • Degree in transportation and logistics can substitute for experience.
  • Ability to write standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professional integrity and discretion.
