Culinary Specialist

Culinary Specialists are responsible for preparing and serving food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. They ensure quality dining services are provided at all times.

• Prepares and serves food according to facility menus and dietary needs
• Maintains a safe and clean kitchen environment
• Assists in receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in food preparation preferred
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods

$43,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
