Job Summary:

The Software QA Engineer I will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of Loftware's software products through test development, review, and execution. With a focus on test automation, this position requires technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans as directed by senior team members
  • Making recommendations on product suitability for release
  • Prioritize testing within functional areas
  • Evaluate task completion times and adjust accordingly
  • Collaborate with the development and QA teams to maintain quality standards
  • Advocate for quality and continuous improvement
  • Develop technical knowledge to contribute to the team's success
  • Assist in designing and coding test automation activities
  • Create defect reports and reproduce defects from existing reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and programming languages like Java
  • Familiarity with database environments (SQL Server, Postgres) and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • 1-2 years of experience in software development
