Forensic Nurse

Augusta Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Forensic Program team. As a Forensic Nurse, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, and implementing individual patient care for patients presenting with complaints of sexual assault/abuse, interpersonal violence, or elder or child abuse/neglect/maltreatment.

• Assess and plan individual patient care for patients presenting with complaints of sexual assault/abuse, interpersonal violence, or elder or child abuse/neglect/maltreatment.
• Implement the Augusta Health Forensic Nursing/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Policy.
• Support the philosophy and core values of the hospital and function as a representative of Augusta Health when in contact with the community.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to establish smooth functioning.

• Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in patient care.
• Completion of a SANE classroom course and all appropriate clinical training, or willingness to undergo training.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred but not required.
• CPR certification required.
