Job Title: Power Systems Engineer

Eaton's Electrical Engineering & Services division is seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Power Systems Engineer to provide technical consultation and support to our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical consultation and support to customers in the areas of power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and training.
  • Self-manage assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.
  • Interpret specs and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for customers.
  • Perform Short-Circuit, LV Coordination, and Arc Flash studies.
  • Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency.
  • Perform Harmonic Analysis and design electrical distribution systems, including modeling and mathematical calculations for Load Flow, Voltage Drop, Power Factor Correction, Fault, and Grounding analyses.
  • Collect field data to gather information on customer's existing electrical distribution equipment to complete a variety of power system studies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution OR in lieu of a degree at least three years of field service experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work locations listed as there is no relocation offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer-in-Training
  • Bachelor Degree focused in power
  • IEEE Membership
  • Graduated Field Service Certification Level II
Skills:
  • Strong technical skills in power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
