Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Home Health Rehab Services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a program of exercise and treatment for assigned patients, as determined by evaluation performed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations, and complex procedures according to the rules and regulations of the APTA and PPTA.
  • Coordinate physical therapy activities in collaboration with the other members of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate achievement of established goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations set forth by the regulatory agencies and state governing bodies.
  • Conduct or participate in training medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
  • Utilize safe patient handling techniques for all patient transfers, lifts, and positioning.
  • Comply with PA practice act related to communication with supervising Physical Therapist.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree Required
  • Less than 1 year Relevant experience. Required
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Working Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Physical Therapist Assistant will be required to work in a variety of settings, including patient homes and healthcare facilities.
