Cedarhurst Senior Living: Seeking a Compassionate Registered Nurse

Cedarhurst Senior Living is a regional healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care to older adults. We are seeking a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Registered Nurse at our Cedarhurst of Woodstock community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as Cedarhurst's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of resident care plans to ensure timely interventions and effective care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, while maintaining accurate documentation and communication with healthcare teams.
  • Develop and implement resident education plans to promote independence and self-care.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to physicians, healthcare proxies, and supervisors, ensuring timely interventions and effective care.
  • Supervise and monitor medications for residents who self-administer, ensuring adherence to medication regimens.
  • Document all pertinent observations, red flags, incidents, interventions, and communication throughout the shift.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, toileting, dressing, and transfers.
  • Assist residents with scheduling medical, dental, and laboratory appointments.
  • Utilize proactive intervention strategies to prevent falls and ensure a safe environment.
  • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols.
  • Participate in oversight and management of medication delivery systems, ensuring timely order entry, receipt, and tracking.
  • Promote the physical, personal, and emotional well-being of each resident, striving to maintain their maximum level of self-care and independence.
  • Understand and respect residents' Advance Directives, following their wishes and preferences.
  • Ensure effective communication with residents' families regarding care, encompassing physical, personal, and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a current state license for RN is required at all times.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
  • CPR and BLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office programs, electronic health records systems, and HR-related systems.
