Job Title: Lead Technician I

At Restoration Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our restoration and mitigation team, you will be responsible for leading each phase of our projects from initial stages to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Supervisor, and Project Coordinator, to discuss project schedules, changes in scope of work, material, and personnel resources.
  • Perform tasks to expedite project completion, including material pickup and ordering, moving client contents, and performing necessary repairs while adhering to code regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead a small group of technicians, providing supervision and direction based on defined job parameters.
  • Maintain company-assigned vehicles and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Complete and submit crew sheets and job notes at the end of each day.
  • Model company policy and safety procedures while performing services.
  • Assist in technician development through mentoring, coaching, equipping, and encouraging skill growth.
  • Participate in jobsite safety briefings and provide training within scope of knowledge.
  • Complete timecards accurately and ensure crew members do the same.
  • Submit completed work orders, including measurements, moisture readings, and necessary paperwork for Project Manager to complete billing.
  • Maintain trade skills through regular training and continue building knowledge of company services, operations, and standard practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a lead technician role in the construction or restoration/mitigation field or equivalent experience gained through successfully meeting job requirements of Tech III.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (Class C).
  • Must be insurable.
  • Displays understanding of safety guidelines and applies them to daily tasks, holding crew members accountable for the same.
  • Possesses awareness of company handbook/policies, SOPs, and adheres to guidelines, communicating desired outcomes and sharing with crew through application of SOPs in daily activities.
  • Supports technician development through demonstration and encouraging opportunities for growth.
  • Good knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete the job.
  • Continuous growth mindset, open to feedback, and applies learned knowledge for self and teaches others.
  • Good grasp of the English language (read, write, verbal).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Able to pass Respirator Physical and obtain respiratory fit exam.
  • Can interpret and apply basic instructions (e.g., Material Data Sheets).
  • Industry certifications preferred, with ability to pass medical exams if required for certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Repetitive L/R hand motion (use of hand and power tools).
  • Agility: bend, squat, crawl, climb stairs, ladders, spaces, twist, pushing, pulling, reach down and overhead.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects frequently (up to 50lbs).
  • Can work in confined spaces.
  • Can work in unsanitary conditions, regularly.
  • Required OT for scheduled work, after-hour response, and weekend options available.
