Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in providing home health visits for adult and geriatric patients in the Newport News to Hampton, VA area. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans that help clients achieve optimal physical well-being.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing treatment, tests, and client education as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assisting clients in maintaining or improving their physical function and mobility.
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current licensure or certification in the state of Virginia.
  • Graduation from a two-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or two years of experience as a PTA with a satisfactory proficiency exam.
  • At least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
