Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Lead to join our catering team at Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant. The Event Lead will execute various events such as weddings, corporate events, birthdays, and social gatherings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead events both offsite and in the banquet room.
  • Pack and unpack for offsite events at our restaurant.
  • Be present at events from start to finish.
  • Follow floor plans and timelines given to you by the Director of Events or Catering Director.
  • Properly execute a variety of dinner styles such as buffet, family style, and plated meals.
  • Set up, operate, and tear down for bar service with proper knowledge of bar equipment.
  • Lead both the FOH and BOH employees with proper communication.
  • Communicate with Director of Events, Catering Coordinator, and Catering Chef.
  • Clock all front of house employees in and out.
  • Ensure all events are carried out successfully.
  • Communicate with planner/coordinator for offsite events.
  • Drive the company vehicle to and from the event.
Requirements
  • Experience with FOH catering.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle changes in event plans and requirements.
  • Must have WA state food handlers card and a MAST 12 permit.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand and work on their feet for up to 12 hour shifts.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel up and down stairs unassisted, sometimes while carrying large objects.
