We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, South Dakota. This is a full-time night shift position offering competitive pay and benefits.
The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. Key responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the health and comfort of residents.

Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of nursing principles, demonstrate competency in performing testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status, and possess the ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions.
- Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents
- Contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- An Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- A valid LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
