About the Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities at Texas Tech University. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing manual work involving cleaning and care of buildings, adhering to established procedures and methods, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and maintaining athletic facilities, including arenas, stadiums, and practice fields.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ensuring compliance with NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Providing excellent customer service to athletes, coaches, and other university staff.
  • Working effectively in a team environment to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of custodial experience, preferably in an athletic setting.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and two-year driving record acceptable to the university.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in athletic facilities or a related field.
  • Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
